The newly formed entity, branded as Regrow, was announced yesterday. This union integrates FluroSat’s data-driven agricultural management services with Dagan’s advanced soil biogeochemical modeling technology.

This combination allows for a more holistic approach. It provides the capability to leverage satellite data for optimized crop management and the implementation of conservation techniques.

Enhanced Capabilities and Market Insight

Regrow will deliver site-specific analysis and tailored interventions applicable to diverse crops, fields, farms, and geographical regions.

Dagan co-founder Dr. William Salas emphasized the enhanced market understanding the merged company will possess, particularly concerning carbon emissions. This is largely attributed to Dagan’s extensive research into soil carbon.

The Importance of Soil Carbon Sequestration

Financial Background and Industry Support

While the specific terms of the merger remain undisclosed, FluroSat had previously secured approximately $8.6 million in funding through equity and grants. Microsoft’s M12 venture fund led this investment, as reported by Crunchbase.
