TechnologyOne Acquires U.K.'s Scientia for £12 Million
TechnologyOne, an Australian Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company specializing in enterprise solutions, has reached an agreement to purchase Scientia, a U.K.-based provider of software for the higher education sector. The transaction is valued at £12 million, equivalent to $16.6 million USD, and will be completed with cash.
Market Position of Both Companies
TechnologyOne reports that its software is currently utilized by 75% of higher education institutions throughout Australia. Meanwhile, Scientia asserts a 50% market share within the United Kingdom’s higher education landscape.
Deal Structure and Payment Terms
The acquisition will be structured with an initial payment of £6 million. Additional payments are also included as part of the overall agreement.
