AWS Glue Elastic Views: Simplify Data Movement | AWS

Amazon Web Services has introduced Glue Elastic Views, a novel capability designed to facilitate data transfer between different storage locations.
During the AWS re:Invent presentation, CEO Andy Jassy unveiled Glue Elastic Views, a feature enabling developers to transfer data between various data repositories with greater efficiency.
This new functionality enables the consolidation of data from isolated systems by replicating it to a designated data store. The AWS ETL service empowers programmers to utilize SQL code to create a materialized view, effectively transferring data from one origin to another.
As Jassy explained, a developer could, for example, replicate data from DynamoDB to Elasticsearch, establishing a materialized view for data copying while simultaneously handling dependencies. This ensures that any modifications to the original data source are automatically reflected in the other data stores where the data has been copied, Jassy noted.
“The capacity to transfer data… and to move that data readily between data stores… represents a significant advantage,” Jassy stated.
