Bumble IPO Price: Shares Open at $43

Bumble's IPO Pricing and Initial Offering
Earlier today, Bumble announced its initial public offering (IPO) price at $43 per share. This figure exceeds the previously increased range of $37 to $39 per share.
The company initially filed for its IPO in January. The first proposed price range, between $28 and $30 per share, was subsequently adjusted upwards.
Details of the Offering
Prior to factoring in potential underwriters’ options, Bumble successfully raised $2.15 billion. This was achieved through the sale of 50,000,000 shares during the public offering.
Trading of Bumble’s stock is scheduled to commence tomorrow morning.
Context Within the 2021 IPO Landscape
Bumble’s entry into the public market occurs alongside other 2021 IPOs. Notably, MetroMile completed a public combination facilitated by a SPAC earlier this week.
Further prominent companies are expected to go public this year. These include Coinbase and potentially Robinhood.
Challenging the Status Quo
For a considerable period, Match Group was widely considered the sole publicly traded entity in the dating app sector. Bumble’s successful IPO demonstrates that there is capacity for additional players in this market.
