Intellectokids Raises $3M to Fuel Edtech Growth

The increasing drive to benefit from the move towards digital education following the pandemic is ongoing. IntellectoKids, a creator of learning applications designed for children between the ages of 3 and 7, has secured $3 million in Series A funding, with Allrise Capital, a U.S. investment firm, leading the round and participation from Genesis Investments and other investors.

The service provides parents of young children with engaging, game-based educational material and organized lessons accessible through mobile devices.

The company will now introduce a Classroom function featuring learning pathways within five essential Kindergarten and first-grade subjects: Mathematics, Phonics, Science, Arts, and Logic.

Alongside its existing direct-to-consumer approach, the company’s founders anticipate extending the IntellectoKids platform to primary schools and kindergartens in 2021 as a digital resource to complement their traditional classroom instruction.

IntellectoKids was established in 2017 by Mike Kotlov and Andrey Kondratyuk, both of whom are parents to three young children.

Kotlov stated: “The early childhood education sector is experiencing significant growth. The pandemic demonstrated that preschool-aged children are capable of effectively learning through online resources independently. There is a clear and increasing demand for these kinds of products from both parents and educational institutions, and it’s evident that online education will remain a permanent part of the learning landscape, integrated with traditional methods and enhancing the educational experience overall.”

IntellectoKids reports exceeding 2 million downloads throughout North America, as well as Central and Northern Europe.
