The company continues to make numerous investments and could benefit from additional financial resources for various purposes.

Epic Games has now unveiled a new system intended to provide ongoing revenue, alongside its typical in-game purchases—while also providing savings on certain virtual items.

For a monthly charge of $11.99, the Fortnite Crew subscription grants players access to a complete seasonal battle pass, 1,000 V-Bucks each month, and a Crew Pack containing a unique outfit set. This recurring cost accumulates over time—as monthly charges typically do. It represents a considerably higher price point than purchasing the standard battle pass, which costs slightly less and usually lasts for several months. Similarly, 1,000 V-Bucks typically cost approximately $8.

This subscription plan will become available on December 2nd, coinciding with the launch of Chapter 2, Season 5. The initial pack will feature the Galaxia outfit, a space-themed costume that also includes a unicorn-head pickaxe. Future content potentially includes collaborations with well-known franchises, such as the Star Wars series “The Mandalorian.” Providing exclusive access to popular intellectual property would likely enhance the attractiveness of this new monthly subscription service.
