Hunters Raises Growth Funding from Snowflake Ventures

Just months following the announcement of its $15 million Series A funding, Hunters, a cybersecurity company headquartered in Tel Aviv, revealed today that it has secured further growth capital from Snowflake Ventures to support its Open Extended Threat Detection & Response (XDR) offering. This investment means Snowflake’s venture division now partners with current investors M12 and U.S. Venture Partners, who spearheaded the Series A round, alongside YL Ventures, Blumberg Capital, and Okta Ventures.
Snowflake Ventures’ decision to invest in Hunters is likely connected to the fact that Snowflake was among the first companies to utilize Hunters’ services and actively collaborated in the development of its threat-hunting solution. Hunters equips organizations with the capabilities to streamline and automate threat hunting, a process historically performed manually. By analyzing data collected from an organization’s network and security systems, Hunters identifies covert attacks targeting the company’s systems and data resources.
“Snowflake and Hunters are aligned in their commitment to enabling organizations to leverage their data securely and effectively,” stated Stefan Williams, Snowflake’s Head of Corporate Development. “The combination of Snowflake’s Data Cloud and Hunters’ innovative security operations technology delivers unparalleled, automated threat detection capabilities at a cloud-based scale for our shared customers.”
It is significant to note that Snowflake Ventures was established only recently, a month ago. The fund aims to encourage progress “by investing in expanding companies that prioritize data utilization, benefit Snowflake’s customer base, and broaden the potential of the Data Cloud.” DataRobot, a machine-learning platform, represented the fund’s initial investment.
