LA Rams, Fanatics & Postmates Pop-Up Shop - On-Demand Gear

Postmates, soon to operate as a part of Uber, is expanding its presence in the rapidly growing on-demand retail sector, particularly through its collaboration with the National Football League.
The company is joining forces with Fanatics and the Los Angeles Rams to introduce a temporary online store where supporters can purchase official merchandise and have it delivered directly to their homes.
This initiative coincides with the Rams’ inaugural Monday Night Football game at their new SoFi Stadium. Starting at 10:00 AM (Pacific Time) and continuing until game time, Postmates will facilitate the delivery of Rams products through its partnership with Fanatics.
Previously, in September, Postmates was named the official on-demand food delivery partner of the NFL, establishing a long-term sponsorship encompassing major sporting events, including the Super Bowl.
“With more fans than ever planning to enjoy NFL games from home this season, aligning with Postmates as the league’s first official on-demand food delivery partner proved to be an ideal fit,” explained Nana-Yaw Asamoah, VP of Business Development and Sponsorship at the NFL, when the NFL partnership was initially revealed. “We are pleased that Postmates will enhance the NFL experience for our fans by delivering it directly to their doorsteps throughout the year.”
This represents the first instance of the company offering delivery of items such as t-shirts, hats, and other Rams-branded apparel and accessories to customers. The Rams pop-up shop builds upon an existing relationship between the team and Postmates, which commenced earlier in October.
The selection will include 15 different items for men, women, and children, with prices ranging from $30 to $100, consistent with typical Fanatics online retail pricing.
Postmates will provide delivery services to areas within Los Angeles including Downtown, West Hollywood, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Silverlake, Echo Park, and Los Feliz, with no delivery charges applied.
As retailers explore new ways to reach consumers who are increasingly choosing to shop online rather than visiting physical stores, anticipate a rise in these types of integrated online-to-offline, on-demand shopping experiences, where businesses collaborate with delivery services to provide customers with the immediate access they desire.
