LegionFarm Raises $6 Million Series A to Connect Pro Gamers with Amateurs

Legionfarm Secures $6 Million in Series A Funding
Legionfarm, a platform connecting gamers with professional players for enhanced gameplay experiences, has announced the completion of a $6 million Series A funding round.
The investment round saw participation from prominent investors including SVB, Y Combinator, Scrum VC, Kevin Lin, Altair Capital, and Ankur Nagpal.
Platform Origins and Evolution
Emerging from Y Combinator last year, Legionfarm was initially conceived to provide a revenue stream for professional gamers and offer amateur players access to expert coaching.
The company began with an à la carte service model, but has since expanded its offerings to include a subscription-based option.
Pricing and Subscription Details
Gamers can choose to engage with pros on a per-session basis at a rate of $12 per hour.
Alternatively, monthly subscriptions are available at $25 or $50, granting access to discounted rates and unlimited sessions with newer professionals on the platform, designated as “rookies.”
Founder's Background and Market Opportunity
Legionfarm was founded by Alex Beliankin, a former professional gamer who achieved top-tier ranking in World of Warcraft.
Many skilled gamers struggle to earn a sustainable income solely through gaming, often limited by organizational sponsorships, tournament participation, or streaming on platforms like Twitch.
Legionfarm provides these professionals with a viable pathway to monetize their skills and passion.
Addressing Gamer Improvement Needs
Gamers consistently seek ways to improve their skills, but often lack the ideal in-game environment for effective learning, especially in Battle Royale genres.
Legionfarm facilitates connections between players and pros in popular Battle Royale titles like Call of Duty: Warzone and Apex Legends, enabling personalized guidance.
Hardware Support Program
The startup also implements a hardware support initiative.
This program allows professionals on the platform to acquire necessary gaming equipment through installment payments deducted from their monthly earnings.
Growth Strategy and Future Potential
“We’ve discovered that a single pro player can attract seven or more new users to the platform with effective collaboration,” stated Beliankin.
“Our primary focus is on leveraging our existing professional network for growth, rather than solely relying on performance marketing.
Establishing sustainable processes in this area will unlock significant potential for rapid expansion.”
