Rattle Secures $2.8M Funding to Revolutionize Enterprise Sales

The Challenge of Internal Communication for Tech Companies
Technology companies excel at creating innovative applications for public use. However, their own internal communication systems often lack the same level of integration and efficiency.
This presents a significant issue, as employees in medium to large organizations typically dedicate between one-fourth and one-third of their workday to internal communications platforms.
Introducing Rattle: A New Approach to Business Service Engagement
A San Francisco-based startup is now focused on developing software designed to streamline interactions with essential business services.
Rattle aims to function as a “connectivity tissue,” fostering real-time collaboration and addressing the fragmented nature of contemporary record-keeping and intelligence systems, according to Sahil Aggarwal, co-founder and CEO.
Bridging the Gap Between Platforms
“Platforms like Salesforce are utilized for both data input and extraction,” Aggarwal explained. “Rattle facilitates the transmission of valuable insights from Salesforce to messaging platforms, and conversely, allows data entry into Salesforce directly from within the messaging service.”
Expanding Use Cases and Validation
Rattle’s functionality extends beyond Salesforce, encompassing other services as well. The system can identify incoming phone calls and prompt users to record details and follow up on opportunities through Slack.
Aggarwal noted that the initial integration of Slack and Salesforce has proven highly successful, validating the core concept. This idea originated from positive internal feedback received during his previous venture.
Early Adoption and Customer Success
Launched in March, Rattle is already experiencing a conversion rate exceeding 70% among companies trialing the platform. The startup currently serves over 50 customers, including Terminus, Olive, Litmus, Imply, and Parse.ly.
LogDNA’s GTM Ops Manager, Jeff Ronaldi, reported that after implementing Rattle, “[their] lead response time decreased by 75%, and critical processes were accelerated from days to minutes.”
Securing Seed Funding for Growth
On Tuesday, Rattle announced the completion of a $2.8 million seed funding round led by Lightspeed and Sequoia Capital India.
Additional investors included Amy Chang (Cisco EVP & Disney board member), Ellen Levy (Outreach early investor), Jake Seid (Brex & Carta early investor), and Krish & Raman (Chargebee founders).
Investor Perspective
Hemant Mohapatra, a partner at Lightspeed, stated, “Businesses globally are burdened by complex processes across various departments. Increased digitization and remote work are exacerbating these challenges.”
He continued, “The Rattle team’s dedication to improving the experience for those navigating these processes is remarkable. We rarely witness such strong customer enthusiasm at this stage and are excited to partner with Rattle.”
Future Plans and Pricing
Rattle’s pricing ranges from $20 to $30 per user per month. The newly acquired funds will be used to broaden the product’s capabilities, including the addition of integrations with a wider range of enterprise applications.
